Abstract: The present study was under taken in order to analyze the chemical mutagenesis on Chilli germplasm. In this regard, K1 variety of chilli was subjected to different mutagenic concentration for inducing mutagenesis. The M3 plants exposed to EMS and DES to produce clear difference from the untreated control, thus indicating that mutagenic treatment produce polymorphic regions in the chilli. For extraction of genomic DNA was adopted an improved protocol of CTAB method with slight modification. A total of ten primers were used to screen the polymorphism among the treated populations line tall, tall with chlorophyll deficient, leaf, flower, GMS and DNA damages in maturity mutants were analyzed with control. Out of ten primers, four primers (PGF02, PGF03, PGF04 AND OP107) were successfully amplified in all the samples used for this study. The successful primers were amplified in to 93 products showing an average of 9.3 bands

Abstract: A severe white rot decay of a very old mango (Mangifera indica L.) tree trunk was observed form Himachal Pradesh, a hilly state of north India. The initial of decaying symptoms were firstly noticed in 2010 which progressed with destructive tissue death of tree trunk. A spongy, sessile, bracket-fungus was found associated with the decay. Morphological and microscopic examination of the collected specimens confirmed the fungus as Phellinus gilvus (Schw.) Pat. Since, P. gilvus is a saprobic fungus having a wide host range worldwide and M. indica is one of the most attacked hosts in India. Therefore, the present report is an important addition to the existing knowledge which will be helpful in understanding the pathogen diversity and interaction with host.

Abstract: Evidence of changes in weather parameters like ambient temperature, precipitation, wind flow, etc., are prominently visible across the world. These changes have been reported to effect global crop yield. This review compiles both direct and indirect effects of climate change on global crop productivity with highlights on existing local and global scenarios. As a conclusion, it may be stated that thorough understanding of agricultural techniques and analysis of global change factors is highly essential for achieving sustainable agricultural yield over the upcoming years

Abstract: Electrical resistivity investigation was carried out at Ibeju Lekki, Southwestern Nigeria. The thrust of this study is to determine the geoelectrical parameters of the shallow aquifer and estimate the hydraulic characteristics of this aquifer unit from the surface geophysics. The area falls within the Dahomey basin of the Nigeria sedimentary terrain. Twenty-one VES were conducted using Shlumberger array with a maximum half current electrode (AB/2) of 100 m giving total spread of 200 m. Data were interpreted using partial curve matching technique and assisted 1-D forward modeling with WINRESIST software. The qualitative interpretation revealed KQ curves (ρ1 < ρ2 > ρ3 > ρ4) and KH curve (ρ1 < ρ2 > ρ3 < ρ4). The geoelectric section generated from the results of the VES revealed a four geo-electric layers; these include topsoil with resistivity ranging from 213-5404 Ωm, dry sand with resistivity values vary from 301to 17178 Ωm, saturated sand with resistivity varying from 110 to1724 Ωm and sand (saline water content) with resistivity values of between 8 and 97 Ωm. The major aquifer in the area occurs at the third geoelectric layer. The depth to this aquifer is of between 0.7m and 6.0m and the layer thickness is between 0.2 m and 19.9 m. The hydraulic characteristics of the aquifer estimated from the geoelectric parameters reveal that the aquifer has porosity values of between 29.4 % and 57.7 %, protective capacities of between 0.00013 and 0.015 mhos, transverse resistance ranges from 345-18502 Ωm2, transmissivity values vary from 13 to 310 m2/day and hydraulic conductivity ranges from 0.8-65 m/day. The results show that the aquifer is characterized by high porosity and low protective capacities of overburden layers indicating that it is highly vulnerable to surface contamination. It has high transverse resistance, high transmissivity, and high hydraulic conductivity indicating that the aquifer can transmit water at higher rate and sustain the need of the community. This study has demonstrated the efficacy of surface geophysics in estimating hydraulic characteristics of an aquifer where pumping test data are not available and also to determine its vulnerability to surface contaminants.

Abstract: With the development of urbanization and expansion of urban land use, the need to up to date maps, has drawn the attention of the urban planners. With the advancement of the remote sensing technology and accessibility to images with high resolution powers, the classification of these land uses could be executed in different ways. In the current research, different algorithms for classifying the pixel-based were tested on the land use of the city of Urmia, using the multi spectral images of the IKONOS satellite. Here, in this method, the algorithms of the supervised classification of the maximum likelihood, minimum distance to mean and parallel piped were executed on seven land use classes. Results obtained using the error matrix indicated that the algorithm for classifying the maximum likelihood has an overall accuracy of 88/93 % and the Kappa coefficient of 0/86 while for the algorithms of minimum distance to mean and parallel piped , the overall accuracy are 05/79 % and 40/70 % respectively. Also, the accuracy of the producer and that of the user in most land use classes in the method of maximum likelihood are higher compared to the other algorithms.

Abstract: In production structure of agriculture in the region Polimlje-Ibar, livestock production has a very important role, because without a stable and developed livestock production has neither developed agriculture. Therefore, in this paper, shows the number of livestock by type and category. Unsatisfactory number of livestock in the region, is primarily the result of economic factors, such as reduced local and regional markets, low purchasing power, transition, privatization, lack of long-term strategies for animal husbandry development, technological and technical unwillingness processing facilities, primary production disorganization, poor farmers and processors association, insufficient and slow recovery racial composition of cattle. In structure of use agricultural areas in the region, stands out the predominantly pasture type of agricultural land with higher participation of meadows (P4L2). The structure use in livestock production has characterized by the direction with prevailing participation sheep farming and greater participation bovines (O4G2). Judging by the number and categories of livestock by type, production volume, as well as other indicators, livestock production in the region generally, serves to meet the needs of the household. A smaller part is intended market. In order that problems were solved in an appropriate manner, it is necessary to adopt appropriate strategies in livestock region Polimlje-Ibar, with the development of the proposed measures, which must be long term, because only in this way can stop the decline in the number of cattle to provide the increase livestock production and improve the quality of livestock products.
